Now I understand how ten years of being Official Sponsors of London Fashion Week can fly by; this past London Fashion Week seems to have flashed past in the blink of an eye! Although my feet do hurt. A lot.
I’m obsessively watching the SS15 playlist on the TONI&GUY.TV YouTube channel here (do have a look, the videos show off the looks better than my blog posts ever could!) and every time a new video appears I realise how much awesomeness we’ve seen the TONI&GUY Session Team create this week.
It has been an amazing few days for showing off the talent of the team, but also the talent of the label.m products.
And Sea Salt Spray was one of the key products being used by Bill Watson and the team at Tata Naka this morning…
I feel the need to be fair to Bill and point out that these aren’t his hands above!!
I always love to see the Tata Naka presentation as I’m a huge fan of their cuts and print work, but I love the relationship they have with Bill too. Bill always seems to just ’get’ the brief and the hair is always a brilliant continuation of the overall story behind the collection. I interviewed Natasha after the show and she said that they consider Bill and the TONI&GUY team as part of the Tata Naka family, so that’s quite the endorsement!
This season the hair was simple and straight to match the architectural influences in the clothes, but Bill wanted to keep the hair look more natural rather than poker straight so added faux static details to the roots to give that contrast.
From Tata Naka I headed to get my outfit snapped…
I was clearly taking inspiration from all the prints and pyjama styles I’d been seeing on the catwalks with this Oroton set….although I’m not entirely sure if I was making a style statement or just, ya know, sleepy!
My beehive was by Mattie from TONI&GUY Southend, I loved it and will def be sleeping in it tonight and trying to carry on working it tomorrow. It’s full to the brim of label.m Resurrection Dust and label.m Texturising Volume Spray so I don’t think it will flatten any time soon!
Then for my last show (*sob*) I headed over to pester Mattia Esposito who was heading up the team backstage at Isabel Garcia.
This look was flippin’ gorgeous – combed into a side parting and all grungy and wet with just a hint of defiant anger.
I’m used to seeing the label.m Texture Wax Stick used a lot at London Collections:Men, but any womenswear look that incorporates it will always be a fave of mine!
But don’t take my word for it, let Mattia himself explain the look in this vid from the show…
And that’s it for this season….and this decade!
Here’s to another ten years of working so closely with London Fashion Week!
It’s been a pleasure as always 🙂
