If you haven’t read We Need To Talk About Kevin then I recommend you do, but only if you don’t mind being thoroughly drained and exhausted by a book. It’s VERY tough going. I don’t know what it’s like to read if you’ve seen the film, but the book is better. When has that ever not been the case?
The film is, as you’d expect, bloody draining as well – BUT there is a saving grace in the soundtrack. The soundtrack includes some of my all time favourite songs and reminds us all why Lonnie Donegan is a hero.
Some of the songs in the film are Christmassy or ultra annoying (Happy Days theme tune, anyone?) or not on Spotify, so I’ve edited down the full list to the below snippets of perfection.
Enjoy (but please don’t kill anyone) x
