Okay so there’s a post title I never thought I’d write, but here I am reminiscing about cooking with the world number one last week….as he gets on with the important task of defending his Wimbledon title just on the other side of the river.
What can I say? Blogging leads to all sorts of keerrrrrazy shenanigans.
The cooking masterclass was to celebrate Novak’s #MadeBy collaboration with Jacob’s Creek. It’s a fun campaign and I genuinely love the videos they’ve made together (which, let’s face it, so rarely happens with celebrity projects) as they capture Novak’s determination from childhood to present day so beautifully…
Regardless of being a sports fan, you’d have to have a heart of stone (not to mention a brain of mushy leaves) to not appreciate the relentless hard work and lifetime of sacrifices that goes in to making the greatest sportsmen and women the athletes that they are.
It was truly an honour to be in the same room as Novak, let alone ponder the merits of quinoa and ALL THE LOVELY WINE a couple of days before he began defending his Wimbledon title.
(Side note: Novak was obviously not downing the Chardonnay, which I will use as my excuse for feeling like I had to drink enough for everyone. And then making Friday a write-off).
I’ll be back at Wimbledon on Wednesday to do some fun Twitter takeover stuff with the folks at Hertz, but before that I thought I’d share with you Novak’s entirely epic quinoa recipe. Because that boy isn’t just great at tennis…
Honestly it’s just dreamy. I had three bowls of it on Thursday (small bowls, *ahem*) and can’t stop thinking about it. I may have to have it for dinner again this eve…
A huge thank you to Jacob’s Creek for inviting me….and letting me take so much wine home with me! Needless to say ST and I had a marvellous weekend consuming it all.
ROLL ON WEDNESDAY!
