I meant to vlog my lil trip to Shoreditch Nails earlier this week but as the weather was HILARIOUSLY AWFUL and I didn’t want to look like I was making some specialist foot fetish movie, I thought it seemed more sensible to keep my camera in my handbag.
So whilst the vlogging was a fail, it would be rude not to shout about my trip as I am SO happy with the results. Honestly, every time I look down at my feet I am filled with joy. They’re so bright! And neat and tidy! And not just a beacon of swollen gagginess anymore! Yep, this pedi is the perfect cankle distraction.
You only have to look at the Shoreditch Nails insta feed to see the type of thing the brand is about, this is a modern interpretation of nail art with metallic tapes, block colours, inverted Vs, monochromes and then of course classic styles perfectly executed too if you’re after something less statement.
Whilst I’d have loved to have gone for something snazzy on my hands, I decided to be sensible (I seem to have to do that a lot these days – woe!) and opt for a gel pedi instead as this is what I *really* need help with at the moment. Bending down to put shoes on is agony, so I can’t imagine applying polish with anything less than than the grace of a drunken elephant.
Tucked away in a hidden mews off Boundary Street, the salon was setup by sister duo Tina Michael – a senior nail artist who has collaborated with the likes of Frame, H&M and Camp Bestival – and Hary Kyriacou – with a background in advertising, who manages salon coordination. Tina herself did my pedi and she was lovely! A perfectionist too, which is exactly what you want when someone is doing your nails.
The range of colours on offer was the best I’ve seen, with all sorts of brands available so you can get your dream colour combo. I opted for Orly’s Melt Your Popsicle (so ridiculously bright, I am in love) and there were sugar scrubs, Aesop creams and all sorts of goodies to ensure I left with thoroughly pampered feet.
I’ll gladly be the first to sign the “BRING SHOREDITCH NAILS TO WEST LONDON” petition, but in the meantime if I am over that way and in need of beautifying I know where I’ll be heading.
Thanks for the gorgeous pedi Tina, I love it!
I was a guest of Shoreditch Nails but wouldn’t shout about it if I didn’t love it. Full time nail snob over here! It’s a great place and I am SO very happy with my pedi.
