Location: West London (I know)
Job: I founded the fashion social network WIWT.com back in 2010 and have worked with countless brands since on everything from consultancy on influencer outreach to video presenting to events to plain and simple copywriting. This blog – and WIWT – are my full time projects.
Likes: Issa dresses, burritos, taxis, In the Line of Fire, golden retrievers, Chicharito, hot sauce, duvets, realising I have my charger in my handbag.
Dislikes: The spotlights that flash in our lounge, French grammar, people who arrive early, MASS HYSTERIA ON TWITTER, creepers, realising I don’t have my charger in my handbag.
What is this site?
I’d rather eat pins than call this site a ‘lifestyle blog’, but basically I wanted to start a new site where I could talk about things outside of fashion – from my personal perspective rather than WIWT’s. I created WIWT.com as a personal blog to share my take on fashion, but as it grew into the monster that it is today (a lovely monster, a monster I love) it naturally became less about ME. So whilst PoppyD.com isn’t solely an exercise in narcissism, I did want to have a place that was ‘mine’ again. I still write daily fashion content on WIWT but this blog is a home for everything else I love like swimming and travel and beauty. You may even find football. And movies! AND WEDDINGS! There aren’t any rules, man.
